Laser treatment of kidney stone has been started at Pakistan Kidney Centre located at Havelian with the latest kind of state of the art machinery on late.
Director of the PKC Dr. Khallil Ur Rehman while speaking on the occasion said that this Centre was established in 2012 and from 2015, it is being run on full capacity through 16 Dialysis Machines and 75% patients are being provided free of cost dialysis facility to the peoples of Abbottabad and surrounding areas including to the patients of the Northern areas and Azad Kashmir.
Prof. Dr.Muhammad Shoeeb Shafi, Sr. V. President Fellow College of physician and Surgeons, Prof: Dr. Umar Muhammad Faroque Dean of Ayub Medical College, Prof: Dr. Jehangir Khan regional Director FCPS and Prof: Masood councilor of the FCPS spoke at the occasion.
Ceremony was largely attended by the doctors from different institution, notables and patients of Abbottabad district.
Prof: Muhammad Shoeeb Shafi demanded for the establishment of Pediatric Nephrologist unit at Ayub Medcial College to facilitate the patients of Hazara Division.
Speakers demanded for the formation of Kidney and Liver Transplant units at Abbottabad and management of the Pakistan Kidney Centre was asked to initiate the full fledge unit of both.
