Central Information Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Parliamrntarinans and MNA Shazia Atta Marri has said that the prestige and honour of the Senate will be enhanced on the appointment of Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani as the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.
She added that due to the leadership ability and political acumen of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the number of opposition members have been increased in the Senate.
This she expressed in her statement issued hereon Saturday. Shazia Marri said in her statement that the majority of opposition members in the Senate are from Pakistan Peoples Party.
She added that the position of Leader of the Opposition in the Senate was a democratic and moral right of the Pakistan People’s Party.
Shazia Marri further said that we did not accuse or criticize on setting done for the Senate candidates in Punjab.
