The “DALFA Cattle Show 2021” is kicking off on Sunday (Today)here at the Expo Center to highlight investment opportunities in the dairy, livestock and agriculture sectors in Pakistan.
This is a joint venture initiative of Badar Expo Solutions (BXSS) and Dairy Agriculture Livestock Farmers Association (DALFA).
The three-day cattle show will be inaugurated by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.
An international conference is also being organized along with the Cattle Show in which experts will shed light on the possibilities and challenges in the field of Dairy, Cattle Farming and Agriculture as well as provide information on modern technologies and trends.
The DALFA Cattle Show is being held in three halls of the Karachi Expo Center, will run from 21 to 23 March.
The Cattle Show will feature high-breed cattle, birds and domestic animals, for which a special pavilion has been built.
The three-day cattle show will feature a variety of activities, including a cattle beauty competition, flower show, bird and pet competition, an ostrich farm and a variety of fish.
According to DALFA Patron-in-Chief Harris Mithani, the global economy is under pressure due to the Covid pandemic and every industry is facing challenges, but the demand for good and healthy food has increased significantly due to the importance of boosting immunity.
He said that while the outbreak of Covid has made it difficult for the traditional industries to maintain the supply chain, due to increasing demand and changing consumer trends, the supply chain of dairy, livestock and agri-culture sectors has also been challenged.
He said that the DALFA Cattle Show is being organized keeping in view the global trade situation and the possibilities and challenges posed by the Covid outbreak and the seminar to be held along with the exhibition will shed light on the issues affecting livestock.
“The dairy and agri-culture sectors will be helped to keep abreast of the latest trends while tackling these challenges”, Mithani added.
More than 200 companies are setting up stalls at the DALFA Cattle Show 2021, including the dairy, poultry, fisheries sector, state-of-the-art technology providers, food, pharmaceutical companies, and the livestock sector, including the Sindh and Balochistan Livestock Departments.

Banks and financial Institutions will also participate that will provide farmers with information on government schemes and bank products for raising capital.
An international conference will also play an important role in strengthening the relationship between the farming community and education and research institutions.
Noor Ahmed, Director, SBP’s Agriculture and Microfinance Borrowers of Flood Effects Areas and Nadeem Khanzada, Senior Joint Director, SBP, and senior officials of commercial banks will also attend the conference.
