Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar visited Islamabad and briefed President and Prime Minister on the arrangements of 550th celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak.
They also discussed matters of political situation and government matters, reforms at Universities and clean drinking water.
Governor also met with M Imran Khan, American Ambassador Paul Jones, American Senators, Governor Sindh, Governor KPK and Foreign Ministers. Political situation, Governance matters, Kashmir Issue, Indian War hysteria, Regional situation and War against terrorism were discussed in separate meeting at the Capital. According to details Governor Punjab during his visit to Islamabad called on the President Arif Alvi at President House and Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Prime Minister House. In a separate development, Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar held meeting with American Senator Chris Wan Haulai and American Senator Megi Hasan here in capital and discussed bilateral ties of Pakistan & America, Kashmir Issue and regional circumstances. Whereas Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar also met with Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Governor KPK Shah Farman, Federal Minister for Kashmir matters Ali Ameen Gandapur, General Secretary PTI General Amir Kiyani. Political, party matters and government issues were under discussion in separate meetings. Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar passed on his gratitude to American Senators for echoing Kashmir cause and said that the two months curfew in Kashmir, the ongoing Indian atrocities and illegal arrests are threatening the peace in the region, India’s war hysteria is only rocketing and tension in the region has escalated. He said that Pakistan still prefers peace but the world including America should take responsibility, play their part in ending curfew in Kashmir and help Kashmiris escape the Indian atrocities.
Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar commended the performance of PTI government and said that under the leadership of Imran Khan, government of PTI took steps to eradicate menaces like terrorism and corruption and took initiatives to strengthen the economy. The country is on the road to prosperity and progress, he added.
