Roof collapse claims woman’s life

A woman was killed and her husband and a daughter were injured when roof of a dilapidated house collapsed here on Friday.

According to details, roof of a house located at Sharqpur Road in Bhalar Town of Sheikhupura came down while laying soil of roof top to stop downpour of water during rain.

A woman Zahida Bibi 60, was killed in the roof collapse while her husband Muhammad Yousaf 65, and Tayyeba 14, were critically injured.

The rescue teams pulled out the body and injured from debris. The body was handed over to heirs for burial and the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
