Governor urges youth to adopt superior services as career

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that universities should attract their students for CSS examinations.

He said that awareness has to be created in the youth so that they can be a part of the federal bureaucracy as bureaucracy is an important pillar of any country.

He was addressing a high-level meeting at Governor House under his chairmanship. Chairman FPSC Captain (Retd) Zahid Saeed, Chairman Higher Education Commission HEC Tariq Banuri attended the meeting through video link.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice Chancellors of all the public universities of the province. Chairman FPSC Capt (R) Zahid Saeed briefed the Governor Sindh and the participants.

 

The Governor further said that every university should have a representative or desk of FPSC, people do not know the procedure of CSS so a mechanism should be set up to provide opportunities to the youth of backward areas.

There will also be encouragement for the youth of the area. “It is our good fortune that the vice-chancellors of our universities are very hardworking,” he said.

“We have to prepare the youth for CSS exams in all the universities. We have to work together to fill the vacancies in the province and the country can move towards rapid prosperity,” he said.

Earlier, Chairman FPSC Capt (retd) Zahid Saeed while briefing the Governor Sindh and the participants said that 2 to 3% of the people from all over the country pass the CSS exam.

He added that 1 to 2% of the candidates from Sindh pass the CSS exams and that is why there are a lot of vacancies in the Sindh quota. After the 2019 CSS exams, there are 67 vacancies in the province.
