Usman Buzdar said that a number of projects have been launched in Multan, being the most important city of south Punjab, he added.
On the other side, the CM regretted that the opposition is trying to weaken the economy but its nefarious designs will not be succeeded because the people need progress and prosperity in the country.
Now, the politics of development and public service will prevail, he concluded.
Meanwhile, on the direction of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Baloch Culture Day will be celebrated on March 02 to promote inter-provincial harmony. Different celebrations and cultural events will be held in different districts and artistes from Balochistan will also perform in such events.
In this regard, the CM said Balochistan is, area-wise, the largest federating unit with a beautiful blend of centuries-old culture and traditions.
The people of Balochistan are our brethren and the people of both provinces are interlinked in the traditions of love and harmony, he added.

In a message issued on Friday, the CM stated that the unopposed election of Senators of government alliance shows successful strategy adding that every effort of horse-trading was frustrated.
The conspiracy of repeating corrupt practices has been foiled and the unopposed election is a success of the agenda of change in the new Pakistan, he said.
The democratic norms have been strengthened and the concept of political transparency has been promoted. It is hoped that the newly elected Senators will actively perform their democratic role in the upper house of the parliament, concluded the CM.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said February 27, 2019, is a glowing period in the defence history of the country when the PAF falcons mortified the false pride of the wicked enemy by targeting its two planes.
In his message, the CM expressed the satisfaction that the PAF gave a befitting reply to the Hindu supremacist Modi regime by shooting two Indian planes for violating the LoC.
Unlike coward Indian intrusion in the dead of night, the PAF gave a befitting reply in the light of the day and frightened the enemy.
The 220 million Pakistanis pay rich tributes to the PAF and the nation is proud of the professional capabilities of the armed forces, concluded the CM.
