She said the Holy Quran and numerous traditions (hadiths) of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) repeatedly emphasize the need to acquire knowledge.
The Special Assistant said that the PTI government is promoting the Islamic injunctions of seeking knowledge by launching different pro-poor initiatives.
She said the scope of this scholarship will be expanded to other professional degrees, adding that 50 percent of scholarships will be given on merit while 50 percent to the needy and deserving students. To express love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW), the Punjab government has also decided to officially celebrate “Shane Rehmatul Lil Alameen (SAWW)” week every year in the month of Rabiul Awal, she announced.
Later, a delegation of PTI leaders called on the Special Assistant to CM at her office and discussed matters of mutual interest. Talking on the occasion, Dr Firdous said that Daska was notorious for its lawlessness for the last four decades but the people of Daska, as like other areas, have shown confidence in the leadership of Imran Khan and supported PTI candidate Ali Asjad Malhi to get rid of such evils. Dr Firdous said the people have seen with their eyes that the killers are supported by PML-N and the same is also shown in the media. She vowed that Daska will be purged of all the criminals. She said the gang of 11 parties cannot stop PTI from success in the upcoming Senate election.
We will surprise them and after the disqualification of her political guru, Maryam should remain ready for many more shocks, she further said.
I don’t know what kind of surgery Maryam is looking for abroad as Dr Yasmin Rashid has already declared that sufficient medical facilities are available in the country which Maryam can easily avail, she said.
The SACM said that Dr Yasmin has also offered her services to Maryam adding that she is a qualified surgeon and not a runaway student like her.
