Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday said that PML-N is a product of dictatorship as it always came into power by using unfair means and is not ready to accept legitimate public mandate.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, the Special Assistant to CM said that the PML-N doesn’t have the courage to accept its defeat. Ironically, the election is transparent in the constituency where PML-N has won while it is wailing about rigging where it has lost.

She said that drug peddlers, thugs and all the corrupt people had been on the same page for decades in the constituency of Daska but the people of Daska had turned that page in the by-election.

The Special Assistant said that Maryam Nawaz is in great shock as the people of Daska have rejected the hereditary politics of PML-N and now she is making hue and cry just to make the Daska, Sialkot, election controversial.

The SACM condemned Maryam vitriolic attacks on state institutions and said that by doing this in every public meeting, in fact, Maryam Nawaz is further strengthening the relationship of her family with Modi.

Dr Firdous said that PTI was a staunch believer in empowering and strengthening state institutions while ensuring that they should work within their legal and constitutional framework.

Speaking on the occasion, the special assistant to the CM said the PML-N believed in the politics of bullying, rigging and violence as two people lost their lives due to hooliganism of PML-N, adding that the PTI strongly denounces PML-N’s acts of violence in Daska.

He said that the PTI wanted transparency in elections while the opposition wants continuity of politics of anarchy, sale and purchase and use of money.

The SACM strongly condemned the attack on Geo TV, adding that the Karachi police should take action against those responsible for the attack.

She said that the politics of Maryam Nawaz is solely based on animosity with PTI but the people of Daska have rejected the treacherous narrative of PML-N.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to CM Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan announced compensation amounting to Rs one million for the family of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist who died in the Daska by-poll firing incident.

The special assistant announced the package while visiting the family of late PTI worker Majid.

She also announced to provide a government job to widow or any other family member of slain PTI activist.

An eye-witness to the Daska by-poll firing incident and brother of a slain PTI activist on Sunday narrated the entire episode which claimed the lives of at least two people and injured many others during the polling process.

The brother of slain activist Majid said that PML-N’s Javed Butt and Hamza Butt opened fire on him and his brothers and later fled in their vehicles.

“There is video evidence of Javed Butt opening fire on my brothers, which led to the death of one of my brothers and injury to another,” he said while flanked by top PTI leaders including Shibli Faraz, Firdous Ashiq Awan and others during a presser.

Later, the Special Assistant along with Shibli Faraz, Fawad Hussain, Usman Dar, Ali Asjad Malhi and others went to village Goind to offer a condolence to the bereaved families of the victims of the Daska firing incident and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls of the victims in eternal peace and give patience to their families.
