At least eight people were killed while 18 others injured, some of them critically in two different road accidents at Muzaffargarh and Sheikhupura on Saturday. In the first accident, at least four passengers lost their lives and 12 others injured after a speeding passenger coach and a truck collided near Haji Wah-Alipur Road in Muzaffargarh on Saturday.
Muzaffargarh Rescue 1122 said the accident occurred while the vehicles tried to overtake amid high speed. The rescue teams reached the spot, shifted the bodies and injured to District Headquarters Hospital, Muzaffargarh. In the second episode, four people were killed and six others were injured as a truck loaded with buffaloes turned turtle over in Sheikhpura on Saturday. As per police, the truck loaded with buffaloes met an accident near Feroze Wattan in Sheikhpura, resulting in the death of four traders of livestock.
