On the directive of Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Environment & Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has sealed a factory in Kemari which was involving air pollution.
According to the details, residents of the area complained that said factory was burning coal to make raw iron which was polluting the area and people had been suffering from Eye, Skin, Liver and Respiratory diseased especially children. The factory was raided and sealed under the leadership of Deputy Director SEPA Waris Gabol.
Deputy Director said that factory was being run by foreigners and legal action would be taken to arrest them.
Advisor Environment has praised the operation team of SEPA and said that environmental laws have to be followed and industrialists would also have to cooperate so that we could make beautiful environment together.
