Three electrocuted to death as rain lashes city

At least three people died in separate incidents of electrocution as rain lashed Karachi on Friday. Karachi received moderate to heavy rain for the past two consecutive days registered thunderstorm with heavy showers on Friday afternoon.
It was after Friday prayers that thunderstorm and winds were soon followed by rains that persisted for an hour followed by drizzle to moderate rains in different areas of the metropolis. Rainfall was also recorded in the city early hours turning many of the roads inundated with water which was being removed by the civic administration.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has said that recent spell of rain will end on Saturday evening.The Meteorological Department has forecast more rain/thunderstorm in Karachi during the next 24 hours.
The K-Electric wires broke and fell over passersby near Jamia Binoria in Binori Town Site Area Karachi.
Two including Abdul Manan 45, and Abdul Rauf 35, were electrocuted to death in the incident. Another person was electrocuted to death in Lyari Town.
