In a new reference moved by the Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura to DG Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), Punjab, a case has been registered against Afzal Khohar, Saiful Malook Khokhar, Aqeel Hussain, Muhammed Sidique and revenue officers concerned for illegally grabbing and fraudulently transferring over 1025 Kanal state land to multiple people including 829 Kanals -13 Marlas to Khokhar brothers.
In its reference, the DC Sheikhupura said that Aqeel Hussain, Jamil Hussain and their mother Mst.Kaneez managed to get 1025 Kanals -07 Marlas of state land in the area of Shaho Ki Mallian, District Sheikhupura fraudulently transferred in their names with connivance of concerned Naib Tehsildar, Girdawar, and Patwari.
They further transferred land measuring to 829 Kanals -13 Marlas to Khokhar brothers in 2003 through exchange deed numbers 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1970. However, no land is shown or registered in revenue record with which 829 K -13 Marlas have been exchanged which shows that it was a bogus exchange deed to avoid government taxes.
The remaining 190Kanals -14 Marlas out of 1025 kanals-07 marlas were transferred to multiple persons including Basheer Ahmed, Muhammed Siddique , Sooba and others.
The parties involved not only illegally grabbed central government land but fraudulently got it transferred to multiple owners thus causing huge loss the public exchequer.
Commenting on the matter, DG ACE, said that all the land has been retrieved by the illegal occupation of fake owners and revenue department has been directed to calculate and collect penal rent from benefices.
Indiscriminate action was being taken against all the mafia /land grabbers across Punjab.
