Director Archeology and Museum, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr Abdus Samad along with experts of archeology and artifacts on Friday visited Khyber district to review steps being taken for preservation of relics and archeological sites discovered in the area. Dr Samad on the occasion said that for the first time in KP’s history cogent steps have been taken by the Archeology and Museum Department to preserve historical spots and artifacts in tribal districts. He said work on different projects of preservation was underway with full swing in the area. In a joint venture of the World Bank and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, he informed, under the KITE project recovery and preservation of archeological sites and relics was underway in Khyber district.—APP
