AFTER failing to coerce Pakistan militarily, India in recent years has intensified its hybrid warfare to hurt and destabilize the neighbouring country. The recent revelations made by EU group DisinfoLab has brought to the fore the facts that Indians can go to any extent in their enmity against Pakistan.
The way Pakistan established its credible nuclear and military capabilities to deter any Indian conventional adventure against it, it now needs to evolve a comprehensive strategy to counter Indian Info war, propaganda, cyber attacks and diplomatic offensive both at the domestic and international levels. It is a matter of satisfaction that our authorities concerned are alert to the threat. Chairing a very important meeting on Wednesday vis-à-vis Indian malicious campaign against Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to counter the lies and propaganda spread by the Indian media and to expose the true face of BJP’s fascist government before the world. The Indian media is at the forefront of the hybrid war which always churns out venom against Pakistan with the aim to vilify it internationally. As also pointed out by the PM, we will have to respond to this tirade with genuine facts and figures. Today nobody believes in the Indian media rhetoric and it has become notorious for spreading false news against Pakistan. In this scenario, our government should also use the media especially Radio Pakistan which has a wider reach to unmask the Indian evil plots and propaganda tactics before the world. It is quite surprising that whilst New Delhi is spreading the network of Radio in its border areas with Pakistan, our government, on the other hand, is bent upon clipping the wings of the national broadcaster. We will suggest the government to strengthen Radio Pakistan by equipping it with the latest technology and transmitters to take advantage of its effectiveness especially to counter the Indian narrative. Then whilst strengthening our intelligence network to pre-empt India-sponsored terror attacks in Pakistan, our Foreign Office should also step up efforts through its missions abroad to acquaint the world with the evil face of India. The world has its economic interests with India but for how long other countries will turn their back to its crimes which pose serious threat to the regional peace and stability in particular and the world in general.
