“Effective police system is an important need of the hour. We all need to work together for the betterment of the country and the nation.”
These views were expressed by Governor Sindh Imran Ismail talking to participants of the 47th Special Training Program of National Police Academy at the Governor House on Wednesday.
At the occasion, the governor said it was hoped that the training program will help in enhancing the capabilities of the officers as well as in tackling the challenges
He said the efficiency of the police department can be further enhanced through modern technology.
Imran Ismail viewed that under the federal government, full measures are being ensured for the rehabilitation and development of infrastructure in Karachi.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has a personal interest in the development of Karachi city. The city will soon get 50 fire tenders and 2 bowlers from the federation.”
He said two fire tenders will be provided to each industrial association and chamber and added that associations will also be responsible for maintaining fire tenders.
“Industrial associations and chambers will be able to use the fire tenders provided immediately. 26-km Green Line project buses have been contracted. In this regard, 80 buses equipped with modern facilities will soon be available to the citizens of Karachi.”
He said the Governor’s House is a historic building where the Father of the Nation was sworn in. and added that the role of the police department against corrupt elements is important. “
You are a young officer. We hope that the police department will use its skills to make a name for itself.”
