As many as 13 more patients of COVID-19 died overnight lifting the death toll to 3,533 and 1,232 new cases emerged when 12,940 samples were tested.
This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Wednesday. He added that 13 more patients lost their lives overnight lifting the death toll to 3,533 that constituted 1.6 percent.
The CM said that 12,940 samples have been tested which diagnosed 1,232 cases that constituted 9.5 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 2,347,270 tests have been conducted against which 214,425 cases were detected, of them 91 percent or 194,651 patients have recovered, including 3501 overnight.
Shah said that currently 16,241 patients were under treatment, of them 15,500 were in home isolation, 13 at isolation centers and 728 in different hospitals. He added that the condition of the 657 patients was stated to be critical, including 78 shifted to ventilators.
The statement says that out of 1,232 new cases, 989 have been detected from Karachi, of them 448 from East, 251 South, 90 Korangi, 77 Central, 66 West and 57 Malir. Hyderabad has 64 cases, Badin 26, Sujawal 19, Kambar 15, Tando Mohammad Khan 11, Dadu 10, Jamshoro and Naushehroferoze eight, Sukkur seven, Khairpur, Matiari and Thatta six each, Ghotki and Tando Allahyar five each, Shikarpur four, Umerkot three and Larkana two each.
