Kallar Saydian Police arrested 18 persons including two transgender over violation of sound system act in a marriage ceremony.
A police spokesman informed that participants of a marriage ceremony were playing loud music Masson Naggar creating disturbance for other residents of the area.
On complain of local people, a police team rushed to the spot and nabbed 18 accused including Muhammad Akram, Aqib Khan, Ghulam Qamar, Ansar Nazeer, Shafqat Ali, Ghulam Shabbir, Shamrayr Iqbal, Shah Zeb, Arslam Mehmood, Khizar Abbas, Ghulam Mustafa, Muhammad Haris, Saeed Ud Din, Ahmed Hassan, Adeel Mumtaz and two transgender namely Aroosa Khan and Heer Khan. Further investigation was underway.
Meanwhile, Police have arrested nine accused over aerial firing, fireworks and violation of Sound System Act during a wedding ceremony, recovered illegal weapons, ammunition, fireworks items and sound system from their possession.
According to details, SHO Ratta Amral Police Station conducted a raid and netted nine accused namely Muhammad Azam, Hamza Khursheed, Saad Malik, Zahid Mehmood, Umar Saeed, Shakeel Muhammad, Muhammad Shafique, Shah Zaib and Muhammad Farooq who were allegedly involved in heavy aerial firing and fireworks during a wedding ceremony.
Police also recovered two Kalashnikovs, a 9mm pistol, three 30 bore pistols, ammunition and fireworks items from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against all the accused while further investigations are underway.
Police on Saturday arrested an accused on the charges of aerial firing, displaying weapons and uploading its videos on social media.
An accused Hammad Jameel resorted to aerial firing, displaying his weapons openly and uploading its video on social media, a police spokesman.
Receiving information, a special team under the supervision of SPDO, New Town conducted raid at a place in the jurisdiction of Sadiqabad Police Station and arrested the accused.
Police also recovered arms, ammunition and drugs from his possession.
The accused had also links with “Boxer group” involved in spreading fear and panic among the citizens through fights and anti-social activities, the spokesman said. Police registered a case and started investigation.
