By equipping them with a variety of advanced and perfect technical skills related to modern technologies as per the requirement of the global market, our youth can not only get self-respecting, reasonable and reliable employment but in addition to produce valuable foreign exchange, they can also lead to earning a good name for the country.
Chief Executive Officer, Knight Human Management (KHM) and Shalaan Pakistan, Khalid Nawaz stated this while addressing the launching ceremony of training courses in film making and editing in connection with practical steps to develop technical skills to help the Prime Minister’s employment programme. KHM is an organization that protects the rights and employment of overseas Pakistanis.
Khalid Nawaz said highly skilled manpower in film making and editing is in great demand both at home and abroad and these training courses would help to lessen un-employment from the country as desired by the present government. “These training courses offered at the School of Art and Design KHM include skills in making videos for commercials, music videos, corporate training videos, feature films, news footage and other television programmes and enabling them to be broadcast with high quality.”, he added.
He told that no Pakistani university or institute is providing the required training facilities in the field of film making and editing and even those universities that are offering these training courses are sans practical work and thus remains incomplete. During these training courses, students will be given theory as well as practical training and after passing out these video editors use creative and technical skills to assemble recorded raw material into a finished product, suitable for broadcasting at any level.
The CEO KHM and Shalaan Pakistan told inaugural class students that as a film/video editor, they would manage material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects to produce a final film or video product. “This is a key role in the post-production process and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the finished result. “, he mentioned stating more the digital technology, specialist computer software and high-quality digitization of sound and pictures have effectively replaced the traditional manual method of cutting film.
