Lists of officers working on one post for over three years sought Ishrat discusses measures to turn CDA into public-friendly organization

Adviser to Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity, Dr Isharat Hussain visited CDA Headquarters and met Chairman, CDA, Amer Ali Ahmed to discuss restructuring and reforms aimed at revamping the organization and improvement of performance in the authority.
The meeting was attended by the members of CDA Board, Financial Adviser, Member Administration / Estate, Member Planning and Design and Member Engineering.
Chairman, CDA briefed the honorable guest about administrative structure and different departments of the Authority.
He also briefed the Prime Minister’s Adviser about the steps taken by the CDA to improve performance of different formations and provision of quality services to residents in accordance with the directions of the Federal Government.
Members of the CDA Board also briefed Dr Isharat Hussain about the performance on steps taken to improve service delivery in their respective formations.
While issuing directions with regard to making CDA public friendly organization priority of the government regarding provision of facilities to the residents and controlling extra expenditures and introducing revised reforms.
Adviser to Prime Minister said that Information Technology Department would be upgraded and comprehensive reforms are required to improve the working of different formations.
hile directing to carry out restructuring of the authority and strengthening financial structure, adviser to Prime Minister said that financial discipline in the authority should be ensure. He further directed to all formations to improve service quality being provided to the residents. In line with the directions of the federal government regarding ensuring good governance and transparency, Dr. Ishrat Hussain directed the authority to keep in consideration vision of the federal government while devising policies so that performance of the authority could be improved.
Meanwhile, instructions have been issued to prepare lists of officers who have been serving on one post for more than three years. The list will include all officers in all grades. Under the rotation policy they will be posted on different assignments.
Rotation policy will help improve efficiency of the employees which ultimately improve the service delivery and performance of the authority.
It is pertinent to mention here that some officials of the authority are working in same departments for more than three years and have not been rotated. Furthermore, Due to lack of implementation of the rotation policy, issues of governance and service delivery were surfacing badly. Departments including Human Resource Directorate, Estate Management One, Estate Management Two, Land and Rehabilitation and other such formations where employees have not been rotated since years.
CDA Management has directed the Human Resource Directorate to prepare the lists officers at the earliest so that rotation policy could be implemented. It has been further directed that rotation policy should be implemented across all the wings of the authority in true letter and spirit.
