PTI lawmakers assure to voice business community’s concerns

Lawmakers of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf headed by its Karachi President Khurram SherZaman called on Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) here on Wednesday. While addressing to the gathering of industrialistsZaman assured that PTI’s lawmaker will voice the concerns of Business Community at provincial and federal level and would play their every possible role to support economic prosperity of the industry.
On the indication of KATI office bearers, he also condemned the devastating action by KMC on roundabouts adopted and renovated by prominent corporates in the Korangi Industrial Area.
Patron in Chief of KATI SM Muneerlauded the PM Khan for focusing exports and industrial sector and expressed hope that in upcoming six months initiatives taken by the PM would transmit into extraordinary economic growth.
He also condemned the maligning state institutions by particular sectors. He also said that we can sacrifice our lives in the name of honor of our Prophet (PBUH), Government should announce boycott of French products the business community would fully support that initiative.
President KATI Saleem-uz-Zaman said abolition of peak hour tariff and relief in additional use of electricity to industry were great initiatives of PM Khan. He said that that on the request of municipal administration KATI asked the industries to adopt roundabouts of KIA to play their role in beautification of the city and as a CSR initiative.
He mentioned that on our request and assurances of administration, private companies invested millions of rupees for the beautification of these roundabouts and have been paying hundreds of thousands for the maintenance on monthly basis. “Now abruptly the administration people came and stripped off these renovated roundabout on the basis of an order against advertisement on public place” he added. He urged the lawmakers to voice this concern at every possible forum.
Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Chairman and CEO KITE Zubair Chhaya, head of KATI’s standing committee on Pbulic relation Ikram Rajput, Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf MNA AkramCheema, Former Presidents of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) Sheikh UmerRehan, Danish Khan and others also addressed the occasion.
