Fear of possible terrorist attack at PDM Lahore meeting, Lahore police issued a threat alert.
Lahore police informed other political leaders including Maryam Nawaz and Rana Sanaullah about the danger of possible attack regarding the PDM meeting. Police have requested the PDM leadership to cancel the rally in a threat alert. However, the police have issued strict security instructions to Maryam Nawaz and Rana Sanaullah for not canceling the rally.
According to the threat alert, Maryam Nawaz and Rana Sanaullah should use a bullet proof vehicle during the journey, never get out of the sunroof of the vehicle and no speech should be made.
According to the police alert, the use of loudspeakers during the meeting should be avoided and full implementation of government SOPs should be carried out in view of the Corona epidemic. The security of the venue including political leaders will also be enhanced.
It is to be noted that 11 parties of PDM are protesting against the government. In this regard, the first meeting was held in Gujranwala which is a strong political stronghold of PML-N. PDM announced fifth meeting on December 13 in Lahore.
IG Punjab Inam Ghani directed the private individuals to withdraw the police security provided on their personal status or on the direction of the Provincial and District Intelligence Committees.
According to details, police personnel will no longer be deployed on the security of private persons, IG Punjab Inam Ghani has ordered to recall police personnel from private persons, all RPOs and DPOs including CCPO Lahore. Officers have been directed to immediately implement the orders. Officers have been directed to keep all the personnel in private security personnel so that the personnel can be taken on other duties including police stations. Concerned persons should also arrange private security for the decision of providing security to the provincial and district intelligence committees. If RPOs and DPOs consider it necessary to provide security to a citizen, all the expenses of the personnel should be recovered from them, IG Punjab said. All the officers have been ordered to implement and send the report.
It should be noted that the rising crime rate has suffocated the citizens. Effective measures are being taken by the police but the accused have the hands of influential people on their heads who save them when they are caught and once again crime is on the rise. Some officers and employees of the police are also joining them. The accused have been released due to these black sheep hiding in the police department. The innocent are punished and the guilty are left at home with a dignified and glorious protocol.
