US President Donald Trump wished Americans and the rest of the world a happy Thanksgiving but that wasn’t what the internet focused on.
Social media focused on the small desk on which Trump was sitting and the Christmas tree in the background, that looked anything but like a Christmas tree, bereft of decorations.
Twitter users referred to Melania Trump’s leaked audio recording in which she had expressed her dislike of decorating the White House for Christmas.
Here is how some people reacted to the “tiny table” and the Christmas tree. One user put up a picture of Barack and Michelle in the same room and then, the present-day president.
Another pointed out that the lack of decorations on the Christmas tree meant Melania Trump had given up her official duties as first lady already.
In his speech, Trump said he would leave the White House if the electoral college votes for the Democratic president-elect, Joe Biden. Unfortunately for the president, Twitter instead chose to focus on his desk and the tree more.
Moreover, US President Donald Trump on Friday said that he would let Joe Biden enter the White House. However, he laid down a condition.
The incumbent president said that he would allow Biden to enter the White House as president if could prove that the votes he secured were not illegally obtained.
“Biden can only enter the White House as President if he can prove that his ridiculous “80,000,000 votes were not fraudulently or illegally obtained,” Trump said.

Earlier, Reuters reported that the Trump administration gave the green light for President-elect Biden’s transition to the White House, giving him access to briefings and funding.
However, Trump vowed to continue fighting the election results. Trump, a Republican, has alleged widespread voter fraud in the November 3 election without providing evidence.
Although he did not concede or acknowledge his Democratic rival’s victory, Trump’s announcement that his staff would cooperate with Biden’s represented a significant shift and was the closest he has come to admitting defeat.—AP
