Anti Corruption has registered an FIR against some peoples having political affiliations with opposition party on the charges of causing loss of million of rupees to the national exchequer. An Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) officer seeking anonymity said that in a major development in the fake housing society scandal has tightened the noose around the son of senior league leader and former adviser to Chief Minister Aurangzeb Butt. Anti-corruption has registered a case for causing crores of rupees loss to the exchequer.
According to anti-corruption officials, Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Saif Anwar Japa sent a reference against Zeeshan Zeb Butt, owner of Gujarat Citi Housing Scheme. The reference recommended filing a case against Zeeshan Butt, Patwari Maqbool Ahmed, Sajjad Aslam, Asif Shafi and Rizwan Chaudhry for illegally forming a housing society.
According to the reference, the accused caused crores of rupees loss to the exchequer in terms of conversion and evasion in registration fees. The accused are committing fraud by making plots of illegal and defunct housing society and selling it to naive people. The said housing society is fake and unregistered. Relevant Patwaris of the Finance Department Maqbool Ahmed and Sajjad Aslam tried to prepare the documents in collaboration with the society owners.
