Afzal Zaidi reappointed Metropolitan Commissioner

The Sindh government has reappointed Syed Muhammad Afzal Zaidi the Metropolitan Commissioner of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.On November 18, Zaidi was replaced by Syed Salahuddin Ahmed as the head of KMC ahead of the MahmoodabadNuallah anti-encroachment operation.
Zaidi was appointed on the post in September. Before that, Dr Syed SaifurRehman was the municipal commissioner of the corporation. Pakistan Administrative Services is the most prestigious and elite cadre inthe Civil Service of Pakistan. It is previously known as District ManagementGroup before June-2012.
