A drug-addict man slaughtered his wife over refusal to pay for drugs here on Friday, police said. According to details, accused Nasir belonging to Humak, Sihala police station jurisdiction Islamabad demanded money from his wife Farzana for drugs.
Upon refusal, the culprit slit the throat of his wife with sharp edged knife. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
The deceased woman and her children used to work in houses of the local residents to earn two time bread for them.
