The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Prince Saleem, son of former Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Mir Ghazanfar, on charges of fraud. Islamabad accountability court remanded the accused for four days into NAB custody. Prince Saleem was arrested by the NAB in a case of fraud of Rs50 million with the National Bank. Prince Saleem will be transferred to Gilgit Regional Bureau of NAB Rawalpindi. Prince Saleem is accused of corruption as vice chairman of a private company called Silk Route. Prince Saleem took a loan of Rs50 million from the National Bank Sost branch on fake documents. Despite repeated summons to Prince Saleem, he did not appear before the NAB. The NAB team presented Prince Saleem in the accountability court and requested for a seven-day transit remand of the accused.
