Quaid-i-Azam Library Jinnah Bagh organized an event on Iqbaliat in connection with the birth anniversary of poet-philosopher Dr Allama Iqbal in collaboration with Punjab Directorate of Public Libraries, Punjab Public Library and Govt Modal Town Library.
A large number of girl and boy students, civil society members and people from different thoughts participated in the event. On the occasion, Dr Mehmood Ali Anjum, President Bazme Fikr-e-Iqbal shed light on different aspects of the life of Dr Allama Iqbal. “Though Allama Iqbal is remembered as poet of the East, he is a universal poet because he conveyed the Quranic message and teachings through his poetry to the entire world”, he pointed out, adding that Dr Iqbal had not only offered solution to the needs and demands of his time through his poetry but his teachings are beacon of light for the generations to come.
