President Dr Arif Alvi has felicitated the Chinese government for holding a successful, innovative 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) despite the looming threat of coronavirus. The expo opened in Shanghai on Wednesday and is attracting a huge number of traders and investors to gain maximum benefit from it.
The organizers of the expo deserve kudos for making such arrangements, as there is no chance of contracting virus.
President Alvi in a special video message said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a flagship project of Belt & Road Initiative was forging ahead successfully.
Special Economic Zones are being established in Pakistan and would attract in-vestments from China and rest of the world, said the president in his video message.
Dr Arif Alvi appreciated Chinese people who under the leadership of President Xi Jinping have success-fully dealt with the Covid-9 pandemic.
President said the third phase trial of Covid-19 vaccine was being conducted in Pakistan with the Chinese collaboration and the vaccine will not only benefit Pakistan but the world at large.
The third China International Import Expo in Shanghai brings together around 2,600 businesses from over 120 countries and regions and has already registered about 400,000 professional buyers.
