Hearing of Ramzan Sugar Mills reference in the accountability court, show cause notice was issued to Home Department Secretary, IG Jail, CCPO and other officers for not presenting Hamza Shahbaz.
The court ruled that this was a serious issue and that the attitude of the accused was a threat to the judicial system.

Hamza Shahbaz could not be produced before the court. Prison officials said Hamza Shahbaz refused to come to court in an armored vehicle.

District Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry rejected the written explanation of the superintendent of the jail. Secretary Home Department, IG Jail, CCPO, SP Headquarters were issued show cause notices and sought clarification by the court. The court adjourned the hearing on the reference till November 10.
