A man on Monday doused two teen sisters after the latter told the former off for harassing them.
The police quoting brother of the victim sisters, said that the suspect had been harassing them for a while. When they told him to stop, he grew enraged and threw acid at them. The police said that the accused identified as Aleem, 21-year-old, is neighbor of the girls.
According to the Faisalabad deputy commissioner, one of the girls sustained burns on her eyes and mouth while the other was burned on the back. The police claimed to have arrested the accused after registration of a case against him and a woman facilitator.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the attack and sought a report from the Regional Police Officer. The CM also directed the police to ensure that the accused does not get off scotch-free.
Eunuch beaten up
A transgender person was beaten up and his hair shaved off after a fight with another group of “transgender people”. The police said that the incident occurred in Faisalabad. The victim alleged that the other group were not in fact from the trans community and were pretending to be trans people to beg for money.
When the victim told them to leave the area, Wasipura, they beat them up and shaved their hair. All of this was filmed.
The Batala Colony Police have registered a case under sections 148, 149, 337V, 342 and 379 of the Pakistan Penal Code but no one has been arrested yet.
