Petitioner Kamzad further said that Omar Sheikh had also approached the Islamabad High Court on the issue of non-promotion. The Islamabad High Court had also rejected Omar Sheikh’s application.
It is to be noted that the report of abuse of the people by CCPO Omar Sheikh has reached the Prime Minister’s House, the intelligence agencies have sent the report to the federal government.
The report said that the attitude of the CCPO was a source of criticism for the government by masses, adding that harassment and inappropriate treatment by CCPO for subordinates had become common practice.
The attitude of the CCPO is creating chaos in the disciplinary force. Omar Sheikh also bypasses the IG’s office and the Chief Minister’s Office while the government’s policy of changing the police station culture is also being affected. Service delivery is also being affected due to the behavior of the CCPO towards subordinate force. It is worth mentioning here that there is series of controversies on the part of Omar sheikh after his posting as CCPO. Which start from the refusal former IG to work with him, his controversial statement in motorway gang rape case, his brawl with SP CIA, and his ill treatment towards his subordinate force and general public.
