Hafizabad police have arrested 38 accused during a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and drug paddlers in different police stations. According DPO Hafizabad Syed Husnain Haider, crackdown conducted in precincts of police stations Kaleki, Pindi Bhattian, Jalalpur Bhattian and Sukheki Mandi.
He said that Jalalpur Bhattian police arrested accused Waseem and recovered 1236 gram Hashish, Kassoki police arrested accused Sanaullah and recovered 1230 gram hashish, Hafizabad Sadar police arrested accused Qasim Imtiaz, Sajid, Luqman and recovered 1310 gram, 415 gram, 450 gram hashish respectively from their possession.
Police also arrested 6 accused from different places and recovered 31 liters liquor and unearthed two running distilleries, he said. During the crackdown against illicit arms, police arrested 19 accused and recovered 1 kalashnikov, 7 guns, 8 pistils and 220 rounds of different guns from their possession, he claimed. DPO further told that police also arrested 8 proclaimed offenders including 6 most wanted proclaim offenders during crackdown in the district. He said that police tightened nose against criminals to ensure peace in the district.
