As cross border aggression from Afghan territory continued, a Pakistan Army soldier was martyred while another was injured when terrorists fired gunshots from across the Pak-Afghan border at the military’s post in the Bajaur district.
“Terrorists fired from across on Pakistan Army post along Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur. Resultantly Havaldar Tanveer embraced Shahadat while one soldier got injured,” the ISPR tweeted Wednesday.
Earlier, on September 22, a Pakistan Army Sepoy, named Sabir Shah, was martyred in firing from across the Afghanistan border at a check post on Bajaur sector.
The militants from the neighboring Afghanistan, it may be recalled, have been crossing into Pakistani territory for the last many years and launching assaults both on the security forces as well as the local people mostly in Bajaur agency and Dir district and in the process have killed large number of men in uniform and the innocent locals including women and children though in retaliatory fire the Pakistani security forces also mowed down scores of miscreants from the other side of the border.
