Customs authorities claimed to have thwarted a smuggling bid at Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Sunday.
According to Customs DC Saqib Warraich, 23 cellphones, 50kg face masks and branded cigarettes were recovered from the custody of a passenger who reached Lahore from Dubai. The passenger identified as Muhammad Nadeem reached Lahore airport from Dubai through Emirates flight no 622.
The officer said that worth of recovered phones is amounted to be Rs2.3million.
