Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that it is a challenge for people in developing countries to buy their own home. Millions of people in Pakistan do not have their own home. He said that he was in constant touch with the concerned authorities to implement his vision. He said that the active role of the private sector in the construction of low-cost houses was welcome. He expressed these views while addressing the opening ceremony of a low-cost housing project.
MPAs Jamal Siddiqui, Arsalan Taj, Abbas Jaffery and others were also present on the occasion.
The Governor further said that completion of this low-cost housing scheme could fulfill the dream of a common man to buy a house at reasonable price. PM Imran Khan is very much interested in projects to provide better facilities to the poor. This is also part of the New Pakistan Housing Scheme. In this regard, the Prime Minister is bringing reforms in the housing sector as per his vision.
He said that the government is in touch with the Association of Builders and Developers (Abad) and is also providing them full support for the construction of low-cost houses.
Ali Danial, chief executive officer of a private company, said the project is close to Nooriabad as Nooriabad is a commercial and industrial area and thousands of people working there will be able to get affordable housing from the project on very easy installments.
