Pakistan National Heart Association organized a special walk on World Heart Day which was attended by a large number of political representatives, teachers, students, lawyers, businessmen, medical organizations, civil society and journalists.
The purpose of the walk was to create awareness among the people about heart disease and its precautions. The walk participants reaffirmed their commitment to lead a healthy life by quitting smoking, sugary drinks and fats, those main causes of heart damage. On Tuesday, the special walk was held from Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindi to Rawalpindi Press Club. The walk was led by General Secretary Sanaullah Ghuman and senior members ex-Surgeon General Kamal Akber, Major General (R) Ashraf Khan, Dr Abdul Qayum Awan, and many others.
