It has been revealed that nearly 30 ghost employees in Karachi Development Authority (KDA) have been serving the civic entity for the past several years.
According to details, out of 51 permanent work charge employees in Karachi, 30 were posted in the security department, whom are reportedly ghost employees.
Sources have informed that most of these ghost employees are doing personal works in the homes of top security officials of the development authority. In this regard, sources further revealed that the top security officials are allegedly receiving a monthly toll of Rs 2,500 from ghost employees.
Many of these 30 employees do not perform their duties even while stationed at the Civic Center, sources claimed. Recently, two KDA officials were shot dead due to the negligence of the security personnel.
Earlier in August, it was revealed that several ghost employees at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the largest allied hospital in Islamabad, were serving the hospital.
