Human bones, including seven skeletons, were recovered today (Sunday) near an under-construction bungalow located in Karachi’s Defence area.
According to details, a heavy contingent of police has reached the spot. Police said someone from the neighbourhood informed the police about the presence of bones.
Police officials said that human bones were found near an under-construction bungalow which seemed to be buried many years ago. The initial probe suggests that the bones had been buried many years ago.
Earlier in 2019, Human bones were recovered from Karachi’s famous Annu Bhai Park in the city’s Nazimabad area. SSP Arif Saleem Rao told that human bones were recovered during an excavation near Annu Bhai Park.
“Human bones are separated from bodies during surgeries and operations from different parts of sugar patients,” SSP Rao added. Police said the caretaker informed them about the bones.
Meanwhile, Sindh Health Minister Azra Pechuho said that it had been practice of hospitals to bury the human bodies like this in the past. “Now students conduct practical on artificial bodies,” she said.
On the other hand, the hospital administration denied the police stance. “We do not bury bones like this. We do not cut off body parts daily, it only happens sometimes.
