Huawei completes its 5th Internship Program

To enhance the professional competitiveness of Pakistani youth, Huawei announced its 5th internship program in Pakistan. The previous internship programswere successfully conducted from in year 2015 to 2018. In May 2019, the fifth Huawei Internship program was launched.During the program, 120 internships were offered by Huawei to the top 50 students of Huawei ICT Competition and to students who have attended Huawei trainings at 14 existing Huawei ICT Academies. The internees will be placed in head offices located in main cities of Pakistan: Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
The internship drive was launched on May 15, 2019. During the program a team of technical specialists, talent eco system team and HR experts organized interviews for over 400 candidates through video conference and by physically visiting 5 universities. Over a 100 students were offered on spot internships. Internship criteria is that the selected candidates are able to demonstrate; (1) decision making skill, (2) excellent communication skills and great time management, (3) capability to do multitask work and can handle under pressure environment, (4) they are able to deal with high-paced environment.
The Internship Program is designed to enhance the skills of the youth and to prepare them for job competitive market by polishing them through rigorous hands on training in different technical areas. The program includes HR orientation, business awareness and training on the telecom network technologies.
