In the money laundering case, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended the interim bail for Shahbaz Sharif by one day. Meanwhile the opposition leader’s lawyer has been ordered to continue his arguments today.
A two-member bench, headed by Justice Sardar Ahmed Naeem, is hearing Shahbaz Sharif’s interim bail application. The NAB sought rejection of Shahbaz Sharif’s bail application and said it had inquired into the matter after receiving a complaint against Shahbaz Sharif from the SBP.
NAB said that Shahbaz Sharif set up 9 business units from 2008 to 2018. In 1990, Shahbaz Sharif’s assets were worth Rs 2.1 million. In 1998, his assets were worth Rs 1.8 million. In 2018, Shahbaz Sharif’s assets were worth Rs 6 billion. Approaching, Shahbaz Sharif and his family made assets worth Rs 7 billion through corruption. The National Accountability Bureau Lahore said that the Lahore High Court had rejected the bail plea of Hamza Shahbaz. Shahbaz Sharif was trying to influence the investigation. Salman Shahbaz has been declared a fugitive in the money laundering case.Meanwhile, talking to media outside Lahore High Court ahead of money laundering case hearing Shahbaz Sharif said that it’s not an easy task to bring all the political parties on one point.
