INDIAN occupation presence in Jammu and Kashmir State in violation of all norms, laws is sheer goondaism, punk terrorism in parts of State over militarized by her; younger generation must know that the so-called ‘accession’ pretext India seeks for her illegal occupation of greater part of J&K is quite fake, illegal, unlawful; last ruler of J&K Maharaja Hari Singh had entered into his own proposed to government of Pakistan a Standstill Agreement (SA) of 12 August 1947 surrendering to Pakistan all arrangements which the British government was overseeing/administering in relation to J&K State; in simple understandable idiom Pakistan government had, by virtue of acceptance of that Standstill Agreement, stepped into the shoes of outgoing British Indian government in all matters concerning Jammu and Kashmir as a State; it was under that SA that government of Pakistan had started running State’s Post Offices and Telegraph Offices; this arrangement continued till last hours of the night of 26 Oct 1947 disrupted by 27 Oct 1947 Indian armed aggression. Under SA Pakistan is legitimate overseeing government of whole of Jammu and Kashmir State having a total area of 88,923 square miles.
Out of this total area, 55,665 square miles are under military aggression of India. UN Security Council does not accept this aggression-occupation status of India who has signed UNSC ruling for an international plebiscite in the State; Pakistan, signatory to UNSC ruling, is an international party to UN-listed Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Facts are facts irreducible by the passage of time.
In the presence of the SA, Pakistan as overseeing government the Maharaja could not sign ex-part any deed regarding Jammu and Kashmir with any other power as SA had made the arrangements of the State an operative domain of Pakistan government. Therefore Indian claim of so-called accession is a coercive fraud, a dirty attempt to legitimize dacoity which no human standard can accept. The SA devolves territorial responsibility to Government of Pakistan to protect and liberate her citizens and territory under aggressive military occupation of India in designated parts of J&K.
Text of Standstill Agreement: “Jammu and Kashmir Government would welcome Standstill Agreements with Pakistan on all matters on which these exist at present moment with outgoing British India Government. It is suggested that existing arrangements should continue pending settlement of details and formal execution of fresh agreements”. It was sent to Govt of Pakistan on 12 August 1947.
Text of Acceptance by Government of Pakistan: “Your telegram of the 12th. The Government of Pakistan agree to have a Standstill Agreement with the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the continuance of the existing arrangements pending settlement of details and formal execution of fresh agreement”. It was sent to the Prime Minister of Kashmir on 15 August 1947.
