The imports of plastic materials witnessed increase of 11.20 percent during the first month of current financial year 2020-21, as compared to the imports of last year.
Pakistan imported plastic materials of worth US $ 175.801 million during July 2020 as compared to the imports of US $158.089 million during July 2019, showing growth of 11.20 percent, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
In term of quantity, Pakistan imported 150,154 metric tons of plastic materials during the period under review as compared to the imports of 116,121 metric tons during corresponding period of last year, showing increase of 29.31 percent in term of quantity. On month-on-month basis, the plastic materials imports also increased by 14.86 percent during July 2020 as compared to imports of $153.059m in June 2020.—APP
