Owing to Sales Tax incentives announced by the government for local tractors manufacturing industry, domestic tractor production increased by 18 percent during month of July, 2020 as compared the production of corresponding month of last year.
During the month of July, 2020 about 3,317 tractors were assembled as compared the assembling of 2,811 tractors of the same period of last year, according the Provisional Quantum Index Numbers of Large Scale Manufacturing Industries of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The uptick in domestic tractor production would help government’s efforts of mechanization of agriculture sector to achieve maximum per-acre crop output, particularly enhancing the production of major crops.—APP
