Alhamra observed Dengue Day on September 12, during which all the halls, lawns, Alhamra Adbi Bethak, Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts, studios, archives and other areas were cleaned in a very efficient manner. Spraying was done in Lahore Arts Council both complexes to prevent dengue virus.
On the special directions of Executive Director Alhamra Saman Rai, the officers and all the staff were made aware of the instructions to prevent dengue mosquitoes.
She also directed the staff not only to ensure dengue prevention measures but also to protect the environment and people around them from the dengue virus.
Speaking on the occasion, Alhamra Executive Director Saman Rai said that it is our primary responsibility to provide an ideal environment to the people coming to Alhamra, for that all the measures are being taken to protect precious lives.
She further said that I request to all of you to use insect repellent and try to wear long-sleeved shirts and pants, and the most important thing is to control mosquitoes inside and outside your home by making sure the cleanses of your home and area.
Regarding Dengue Day, Information Officer Samreen Bukhari said that Lahore Arts Council is taking all possible steps to prevent the spread of Dengue virus.
Alhamra does not want any shortcomings during this campaign, for that, spraying and other cleaning arrangements were completed under the supervision of Deputy Director Admin Aftab Ahmad Ansari, Deputy Director Archives Muhammad Arif and Assistant Director Khurram Naveel.
