Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar described the culprits involved in Motorway rape case as no less than terrorists, reiterating the government resolve to hand down them exemplary punishment.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar was talking to PTI Azad Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry and other party delegations here on Friday.
He said that the PTI government will complete its term despite opposition’s APCs. According to details, the Punjab governor met with PTI Azad Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood and other party delegations at Governor’s House in Lahore. National and political matters came under discussion during the meeting.
On the occasion, the Punjab governor said that ever since the PTI government has come into power, the opposition is giving threats of protests but the Prime Minister Imran Khan is not afraid of these threats and we will not let opposition succeed in their personal interests. Governor said that the opposition can call as many APCs as they want but our government has no danger from it.
We will complete our constitutional terms regardless of the opposition’s APCs. He said that the PTI government has public support. PML-N and PPP have completed their terms so it is our constitutional right to complete ours.
The governor suggested that the opposition should wait for elections rather than resorting to protests. Public will take the decision regarding the next government by using the power of vote.
He said that Pakistan is moving forward successfully on every front. He said that the people of Azad Kashmir will also place their confidence in the PTI government.
Talking about the motorway rape case, he said that exemplary punishment will be given to the culprits involved in this heinous crime.
He said that the police and other relevant government departments are investigating this case. He said that the protection of daughters is the responsibility of the government and this responsibility will be fulfilled.
The PTI AJK president said that the people of Azad Kashmir stand by the policies of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The PTI will win the elections in AJK with majority of votes, he claimed. He said that they are bearing the brunt of failed policies of the previous governments and the PTI government is taking practical steps to purge problems that Pakistan is facing right now.
