Governor, UAE envoy distribute ration bags in Lyari

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Hamad Obaid Al-Zahabi visited Lyari area on Thursday and distributed ration bags to rain victims there. At the occasion talking to reporters, the Governor said that UAE had fully supported Pakistan in every difficult hour. “We are grateful to UAE for supporting us in this difficult time.” Imran Ismail said that UAE provides 75,000 families a month’s ration. His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al-Zahabi said that the United Arab Emirates attaches great importance to Pakistan. He regretted the loss of life and property caused by the recent rains. The respected diplomat said that the UAE stands by Pakistan in this difficult time. Later, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail visited Orangi Town and inspected the camp set up there by the Pakistan Red Crescent for the rain victims. Chairman Red Crescent Pakistan Abrar-ul-Haq received the Governor on his arrival. Chairperson Red Crescent Pakistan (Sindh) Shahnaz Hamid was also present on the occasion. Talking to media, the Governor said that as soon as Imran Khan came into government, he started the biggest social welfare program. “Ehsas program provides financial assistance to 12 million families. Thanks to German Red Crescent for helping rain victims in this difficult time.” Imran Ismail further said that there was a time when Pakistan lent money to Germany, adding, “God willing, Pakistan will get rid of debts and employment opportunities will increase in Pakistan.” He appreciated the Pakistan Red Crescent for doing a great job and said that the charity continues to help people in need. “Shahnaz Hamid is doing what Allah wants from his favourite people.” Red Crescent chief Abrar-ul-Haq talk, on the occasion, said when natural disasters come, there is sorrow, adding that the Red Crescent is helping rain victims with the help of international donors.
