Anti-Corruption Lahore Region A in a major operation, relinquished 96 kanals of state land worth Rs. 1 billion from the possession of land mafia.
According to details, the Anti-Corruption team carried out a major operation against the land mafia occupying government land on the source report. Influential people, with the connivance of revenue staff, had started farming for the last four years by occupying the land of Sports Board in Mouza Rakh Chhabil of Shalimar Tehsil.
According to an anti-corruption source report, Malik Mushtaq Awan and Chand Dogar had been occupying more than 96 kanals of Sports Board land for a long time. The value of the relinquished land is more than one billion rupees, claimed Anti Corruption sources. Action was taken to relinquish the area under the leadership of Deputy Director Investigation Kashif Jalil Khan.
Anti-corruption Lahore Region, Revenue and Sports Board staff took part in the operation. Director Anti-Corruption Ahmar Sohail Kefi has ordered strict legal action against the accused. DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Muhammad Gohar Nafees has directed to expedite legal proceedings against land mafia.
It may be recalled that this revealed the PCBL’s occupation of an area worth billions of rupees across the province, including Lahore. On which the DG Anti-Corruption had directed all the Regional Directors to take systematic action on a daily basis to relinquish the area of PCBL.
