Former federal minister and PTI ticket-holder Shahid Akram Bhindar and independent candidate Waleed Akram Bhindar called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Federal Housing Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema and announced joining Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q).
On the occasion, PML-Q General Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha and MNA Moonis Elahi were also present.
Welcoming Shahid Akram Bhindar into the party’s fold, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that their doors are opened for patriotic and like-minded people.
He said that currently the country is passing through a crucial juncture, which warrants unity and solidarity, adding that all patriotic forces should join hands for prosperity and development of the country.
Pervaiz Elahi pointed out that there is no better service than politics if it is done for betterment of the public and country.
He recalled that people still remembered the PML-Q government for its public-welfare projects and unprecedented development, adding that as partner of the PTI government, they will continue playing a constructive role for prosperity of the people.
On the occasion, PTI ticket-holder Shahid Akram Bhindar said that he has been enjoying good family terms with Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi since. He said that they are grateful for the love and kindness of Chaudhry Sahibaan.
He said that PTI has been taken hostage by nepotism, adding that they had to face difficulties whenever people of their constituency ask about development projects.
They reposed their confidence in the leadership of Ch Shujaat and Ch Pervaiz Elahi, saying that they will strive hard for public service under the fold of PML-Q.
LABOUR SECRETARY, PESSI COMMISSIONER MEET MINISTER
Secretary Labour Amir Jan and Commissioner Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) Tanveer Iqbal called on Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Ansar Majeed Khan in his office.
The Secretary Labour briefed the Minister about the performance and the new project of the department. He also apprised the Minister about the mechanism for providing medical facilities to the workers after retirement.
The Labour Minister lauded the performance of the Secretary, DG and Commissioner. Anser Majeed Khan said that steps are being taken in the PTI government for the welfare of the workers.
According to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, new projects have been launched for the workers in Punjab.
He said that the Social Security Department has chalked out a plan to provide health facilities to the workers even after their retirement which will be implemented soon.
