Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid on Tuesday said that the government is committed to providing quality healthcare to the masses and philanthropists are lending a helping hand to the government for the public service.
“We are striving hard to facilitate people with best and quality health service delivery.” Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid stated this during a visit to Dholanwal Dispensary with former Punjab Governor Mian Azhar here on Tuesday. The health minister said it is a pleasure to see the refurbishment of the dispensary building. “With the functioning of this dispensary, around two to two-a-half lakh people can avail free healthcare services in the area. Latest machinery has been set up at the dispensary”, the minister pointed out.
Various dignitaries including Awais Bhatti, Mian Omer Iqbal, Adil Bhatti, Mehr Saalim Aslam, Mohammad Bial and officials of the District Health Authority were present on the occasion. The former governor has provided support for the refurbishment of the dispensary including X-Ray Machine, Ultrasound Machine, Labour Room, Emergency Room and provision of medicines. The health minister appreciated contribution by Mian Azhar for the dispensary.
The minister also issued directives to the District health Authority for more improvements in the dispensary.
